Pollinator Ecologist
Terrell Roulston ("Tuh-rel Roll-stun") is a community ecologist and pollinator expert who is interested in public education on native bee species and pollinators to stimulate community science and shifts in the publics' 'bee paradigm'. Originally from Nova Scotia, Terrell holds a MSc. in Plant Science from UBC Vancouver, and is a researcher at Acadia University in Wolfville, NS. Growing up on a farm in the Annapolis Valley, NS, Terrell kept non-native honey bees (Apis mellifera), and it wasn't until university until he discovered the world of native bee species! Now he is making it part of his mission to spread awareness about the diversity of native species and their fundamental importance in balancing and maintaining native ecosystems and agricultural/horticultural practices.
