Community Herbalist, Visual Artist
Kaitlyn Beugh is an interdisciplinary visual artist and herbalist whose practice is grounded in mindfulness and a deep connection to the land. Her work explores the ephemeral, often created in a state of flow, and is shaped by the landscape she inhabits. Residing, working, and playing on the unceded lands of the Coast Salish First Nations, Kaitlyn expresses deep gratitude and respect for the land and the peoples who have lived there since time immemorial. The mediums Kaitlyn uses vary depending on her intentions, all rooted in nature-connected practices. Her aim is to inspire others to deepen their own relationship with the land, whether through creative expression or simply sitting with nature and observing the subtle nuances of the life around them. Combining foraged and artist-grade materials, Kaitlyn’s work is often experimental and not always intended to be archival, reflecting the changing and evolving nature of the natural world itself. Like nature, her art is ever-evolving.
