Clinical Herbalist, Doctor of TCM, Birthworker
Tiffany Harper (formerly Freeman), she/her/wiya, is a biracial swampy cree of Treaty 1 (a registrant of the Peguis First Nation) living as a visitor in Mohkinstsis (Blackfoot for Calgary, Alberta), Treaty 7 territory, and is a mother to three children. Professionally Tiffany is a Registered Acupuncturist (CAA), a Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctor (AAATCMD), a Registered Clinical Herbalist (American Herbalist Guild), a Certified Full Spectrum Doula (BADT) and a Certified Childbirth Educator (BADT). Tiffany graduated from the Wild Rose College of Natural Healing in 2004 with a diploma in Clinical Herbology. In 2009 she obtained her Doctors of Traditional Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture diploma from the Calgary College of TCM and Acupuncture and her Alberta Acupuncture Licensure. After graduation Tiffany has gone on to study in the field of Ortho-bionomy®, Classical Chinese Medicine, Traditional BirthWork, the Full Spectrum Doula training program and Childbirth Educator training with Birthing Advocacy (BADT), and various continued herbal & traditional medicine studies. In her clinical practice Tiffany focuses on client centred gender inclusive medicine and has a speciality in sexual and reproductive health, as well as birthwork. She offers care for birthing peoples and families though all phases of pregnancy including pre-conception, pregnancy/ pre-natal, and postpartum care. Her clinical offerings include the use of herbal protocols, acupuncture and TCM, as well as traditional foods and medicines to assist with the care of the people and families she works with. Along with her clinical practice she is also an author and educator teaching a variety of courses in herbalism, assessment techniques, reproductive and sexual health, as well as stewardship and activism. She is an instructor/author at Wild Rose College of Natural Healing and offers seminars and workshops around North America through various schools, community organizations and herbal conferences. Her creative paths have led her to collaborations of story telling, images, beadwork and creative direction.
