Dr. Marisa Marciano is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor & Registered Herbalist with over a decade of experience in the education and clinical applications of herbal medicine. She received her Naturopathic medical training from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine - Vancouver, where she later served as Chair of the Botanical Medicine Department, has been an educator for Pacific Rim Online College and National University of Naturopathic Medicine, and has consulted professionally for herbal companies such Mediherb/Standard Process in the US and Nature’s Way, Canada. Since 2011 she has maintained a clinical practice aimed at integrating the use of herbs alongside diet, lifestyle, and pharmaceutical therapies, while continually encouraging the holistic perspectives inherent to herbalism and a deep respect for the healing powers of Nature. Marisa is also the co-author of "The Botanical Medicine Manual: A Quick Reference Evidence Based Guide”, and is widely recognized for creating the celebrated online herbal resource www.thenaturopathicherbalist.com. Most recently she has embraced motherhood and herbal medicine making, raising her 2 young children and running Herbal Energetics, a professional tincture compounding company located on the Sunshine Coast of (xwesam territory) British Columbia.
