The Vancouver Island Herb Gathering is a biennial celebration of herbal medicine, plant wisdom, and community connection, held on the lush seven-acre sanctuary of Innisfree Farm & Botanic Garden.
Since 2013, the Gathering has welcomed plant lovers from across Western Canada and the United States, growing into one of the region’s most beloved herbal events.
As a project of Gardens without Borders (#440930-2), a registered not-for-profit organization, our mission is to provide accessible, high-quality education in herbal medicine, horticulture, and regenerative agriculture. We offer both online and in-person programming designed to deepen plant knowledge, foster ecological stewardship, and strengthen community connection.
We receive and make donations to support Canadian herbal and environmental associations aligned with our purpose. Through scholarship and work-trade programs, we subsidize educational opportunities to ensure learning remains accessible and inclusive. Together, we are cultivating a vibrant, ethical, and sustainable herbal community for generations to come.
Connect with 300+ engaged attendees from Western Canada and the U.S., including herbalists, wellness practitioners, educators, farmers, and conscious consumers.
Our audience actively supports ethical brands in herbal medicine, regenerative agriculture, and sustainable living – making this a high-impact, niche marketing opportunity.
