Clinical Herbalist, Mentor & Medicine Maker
Colleen Emery Is a Clinical Herbalist who has been in a client centred, reduced barrier, herbal medicine practice for over two decades. Founded in 2003, Colleen owns and operates Emery Herbals, a Compounding Botanical Dispensary, Healing Suites and Teaching Centre in the rural West Kootenay Mountains on the traditional and unceded təmxʷulaʔxʷ (homeland) of the Sinixt Peoples. Focusing on empowering folks to take charge of their wellness through fostering traditional skills and connection to the natural world, Emery Herbals offers access to both live onsite and online workshops and programs. Colleen’s focus is providing access to those interested in obtaining clinical hours and support for a client centred, energetic, clinical herbal education. Colleen sits as President of the British Columbia Herbalist’s Association (BCHA). Colleen co-organizes the Kootenay Herb Gathering, the Vancouver Island Herb Gathering & the Canadian Herb Conference and is on the faculty of the Wild Rose College.
