Cl.H, RHT (BCHA)
Colleen Emery is a Clinical Herbalist and Aromatherapist, Educator and Medicine Maker residing in the traditional, ancestral and unceded təmxʷulaʔxʷ (homeland) of the Sinixt Peoples. Colleen’s clinical practice mandates affordable and accessible care for all ages with a focus on family health and eldercare along with complex health conditions. Colleen balances her approach by bridging traditional knowledge of plant medicines with up to date clinical research and hands on experience cultivated over two decades of client focused clinical work. Colleen Emery developed Emery Herbals as an urban, inner city home based business, providing access to consciously sourced and created plant medicine. In 2011, Colleen and her husband Ashley and daughter Freya moved from the inner city to an off grid yurt in the heart of the West Kootenay Mountains. It was at that time that Emery Herbals expanded in the village of Winlaw, BC to house an East West focused Compounding Botanical Dispensary, Healing Suites and Teaching Centre. Emery Herbals provides open access to consciously sourced and prepared botanicals, professional health services and empowering education experiences that encourage and cultivate sustained wellness. Passionate about supporting the community of Herbalism, Colleen volunteers as Vice President of the BCHA as well as co-organizing the Canadian Herb Conference, Kootenay Herb Conference and the Vancouver Island Herb Gathering.
