5 Elements Model for Encouraging Resilience: Help for preparing for the Great Turning and changing global landscapes
60 minutes
As herbalists we are in a position to be able to help encourage patients to make changes in themselves and in their lives that are hopefully in right relationship with Mother Earth. And this can help them better face the massive global changes and challenges that are going on already. From personal internal resiliency to resiliency in how we live, we often lead by example and we also share knowledge and resources. By looking at resiliency from a 5 Elements perspective, one can more easily figure out where all the shortfalls are, where adaptation is needed, and so where to focus attention, and the various ways that they may be able to be made. But it can also help in determining where and what are the resources, assets, and skills that one has and can be shared or at least where to find them. Adaptation and resiliency development facilitates support from both within and outside, building a stronger individual but also community, for both our patients and ourselves.
