Plant Walk: The Energetics of Herbs
In this three-hour immersive plant walk, we will explore the “energetics” of herbs and how to identify plants through the lens of our senses – tasting, smelling, and experiencing them in their natural habitat. While many botanical walks focus strictly on identification, this session focuses on the language of plants, teaching you how to recognize their unique characters and therapeutic qualities.
Along the way, various insights into traditional energetic frameworks (such as hot, cold, damp, and dry) and how they relate to the medicinal use of local flora will be discussed. We will delve into the ethnobotanical history of the species we encounter, discussing how to bridge traditional wisdom with modern clinical applications. This relaxed, engaging walk is designed for all levels of experience, from curious beginners to seasoned practitioners looking to deepen their intuitive connection to the green world.
The walk will consist of gentle, lower-elevation walking and is suitable for all walking capabilities and fitness levels.
