Wild Harvesting with Reciprocity

Wild Harvesting with Reciprocity

20 minutes

Often the medicines that we harvest and prepare ourselves are more potent both physically and vibrationally than those purchased anywhere else. Wildcrafting herbs can be a beautiful process, allowing for special connection with the medicine and the land. As herbalism grows in popularity and wildcrafting becomes more common, however, it is crucial that we understand the impact that wild harvesting makes. In this presentation, we’ll look at ways to harvest with respect and reciprocity at the forefront of the mind. Tending the land, asking permission, and offering gifts are a few ideas that will be explored, as well as important considerations around harvesting techniques, medicine preparation, and administering of medicines. All of these aim to minimize our footprint while maximizing the medicine.
