Sue Evans

PhD FNHAA

For nearly four decades, Sue’s work has been with herbal medicine. After qualifying with the UK’s National Institute of Medical Herbalists she returned home to Australia to practice and to teach. She was foundation lecturer in herbal medicine at Southern Cross University in 1995 in the first Australian state-funded university course in naturopathy. Currently she lives in Melbourne’s inner north (sadly under lockdown for most of the last 18 months), teaches at the University of Tasmania and is Deputy Chair of the Jacka Foundation of Natural Therapies. Her particular interests are in the history, philosophy and politics of herbal practice.
