Clinical Herbalist, Ayurveda Practitioner
Todd Caldecott is a clinical herbalist, practitioner of Ayurveda, author, and educator with more than three decades of experience in natural medicine. He began studying Western herbal medicine in the early 1990s and later completed formal training and internships in Ayurveda in South Asia, integrating classical principles with modern clinical practice. Todd has maintained a full-time clinical practice since 1997, focusing on complex chronic disease through individualized, integrative care. He is the author of Food As Medicine: The Theory and Practice of Therapeutic Nutrition and Ayurveda: The Divine Science of Life, and co-editor of Ayurveda in Nepal. As founder and director of the Dogwood School of Botanical Medicine, he has trained students internationally in herbal therapeutics, holistic nutrition, and medical Ayurveda. Todd is a Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner (NAMA), a long-standing Professional Member of the American Herbalists Guild, and a Registered Herbal Therapist (BCHA), and continues to teach, mentor, and advocate for clinical excellence in herbal medicine.
